A look back.

So we've been in Tucson for almost a year now. We thought we'd be home by now. Instead we are here and it looks like we'll be here for at least another six months. There are some things I miss.

Our home.

The bookcases that I built last year. We lived in the house with them for about three months.

The living room. Not that we ever sat in it, but it looked nice.

The family room, rooms with color on the walls.

Jack misses the Christmas tree.

Cole misses the bathtub.

Here is Cole crawling.

Cole when he first started walking. This was taken at the Young Living Farm just south of Santaquin. It was great how as Cole's walking improved, his arms got lower and lower.

Cole playing on the rocks on one of our hikes at Mt. Charleston.

First Name Basis!

I noticed this post in the queue of draft posts by Mindy. I thought it was worth posting. -- Andrew

The sounds in our house range currently between Parker's sound practice of Baa, Daa, and Maa's and Cole's picking up of new words. But one new word usage has me a bit perplexed - what do I do about Cole calling me by my first name?! It is pretty funny to hear Cole calling out "Nindy, Nindy" when he is looking for me, but how do I get him to call me "Mom" again . . . or is it even any thing to worry about? Cole picked up on it from hearing Andrew call for me -but the strange thing is when I call after Andrew, Cole will echo by saying "daddy". Go figure!

Halloween

I came home early from work on Halloween so we could do some things as a family and go to the Tucson Children's Museum that night. When we put Cole's costume on at home he was not happy about it and we thought it would be a rough night at the museum. When we put in on at the museum he did just fine. Parker didn't mind at all. They were both extremely cute.

Parker and Maya

Parker is far more interested in the cats than Cole has ever been. Here are some cute ones of him trying to get to Maya, even though she is on the other side of the door.

Cole's 2nd birthday

Cole turned two on October 26. Time has flown. He had his favorite food for dinner "pigs in a blanket"; he has refined tastes.

Cole was so excited to get a few more pieces for his train set....

... that he was asleep on the sofa an hour later.
